Payouts and tax forms
Every booking pays out to your bank in two halves: 50% within a couple of business days of the deposit, 50% within a couple of business days of the final charge. Year-end tax forms (1099-K in the US) are issued automatically.
How to do it
- 01
See an upcoming payout
Open Bookings → tap a booking → 'Payments' tab. Each charge shows when the payout is expected.
- 02
Open the Stripe dashboard
/dashboard/profile → 'Manage payouts' → opens your Stripe Express account in a new tab. Full transaction history lives there.
Manage payouts - 03
Get your year-end forms
1099-K is mailed and emailed by January 31 each year. Available in your Stripe dashboard the same day.
What to expect
DayOf takes 5% per booking (or your Founding 50 rate). The 5% is deducted from the payout, not charged separately, so you'll always see net amounts on your bank statement.
Common questions
Why is my first payout delayed?
Stripe holds the very first payout for 7 days while it confirms the bank account. Every payout after that is 1-2 days.
What if I'm outside the US?
We support vendors in 30+ countries via Stripe. Tax forms differ by country - your Stripe dashboard has the right one for yours.
