DayOf Weddings Co. values your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you access or use the DayOf platform.

By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. Who we are

DayOf Weddings Co. is a Delaware C-Corporation with a principal place of business in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States.

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Platform, including couples and vendors.

2. Information we collect

a. Information you provide directly

We collect personal information you voluntarily provide, including:

For all users:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • City and state
  • Account credentials

For couples:

  • Wedding date
  • Booking details
  • Communications with vendors
  • Reviews and feedback

For vendors:

  • Business name
  • Vendor category
  • Pricing and availability
  • Profile photos, videos, and written content
  • Business licenses and insurance documentation
  • Bank account connection details (via Stripe)

We may collect uploaded licenses and insurance documents for verification and compliance purposes.

b. Payment information

All payments are processed through Stripe. DayOf does not store credit card numbers or bank account details.

Stripe may collect and process payment information in accordance with its own privacy practices. Vendors connect bank accounts via Stripe Connect.

c. Communications

We collect information related to:

  • Messages exchanged on the Platform
  • Secure video call scheduling and participation
  • Emails sent through the Platform
  • Text messages (SMS) sent to your mobile number, where you have explicitly opted in

We use Resend and Mailchimp to send transactional and product-related emails. SMS messages are sent through Telnyx, Inc. and are limited to transactional notifications relating to your account, bookings, payments, scheduled meetings, and event reminders. We do not send marketing SMS, and we do not share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in status with third parties for marketing purposes. You may opt out of non-essential email communications, and may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP or by toggling SMS off in your account settings.

d. Automatically collected information

When you access the Platform, we automatically collect:

  • IP address
  • Device and browser type
  • Pages viewed and actions taken
  • Session and log data

We use cookies and similar technologies to support login sessions, analytics, and performance monitoring.

3. Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and analytics tools including:

  • Google Analytics
  • PostHog

These tools help us understand how users interact with the Platform and improve functionality.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect Platform functionality.

4. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide and operate the Platform
  • Facilitate bookings and payments
  • Verify vendor credentials
  • Communicate with users
  • Improve Platform performance
  • Prevent fraud and enforce policies

We do not sell personal information.

  • Service providers (Stripe, Resend, Mailchimp, Telnyx, Google, Zapier, Sharetribe, GitHub, hosting providers)
  • Vendors and couples as required to complete bookings

We do not share personal information for third-party marketing purposes.

For users in the European Union, we process personal data based on:

8. Data retention

  • Provide the Platform

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Platform is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
