Send an inquiry

An inquiry is the first message you send to a vendor. It includes your event date, a guest count, and a short note. The vendor uses it to write you a real quote.

How to do it

    Open a listing

    From /search or your saved list, tap any vendor card.

  2. 02

    Press Request a quote

    Sticky at the top of the right rail on desktop, fixed at the bottom on mobile.

    Pick a package

    Vendors set up two or three packages with rough prices. Pick the closest one - you can always negotiate after.

    Confirm event date and guests

    Pulled from your search if you set them. Edit if you need to.

    Write a short note

    Two or three lines is fine. The shorter the better - vendors reply faster to clear, specific notes.

  6. 06

    Press Send inquiry

    You'll land in the new thread on /dashboard/inbox.

What to expect

The vendor gets a notification immediately. Median first reply on DayOf is under one hour during business hours. You'll see a stage label on the thread that updates as the conversation moves: Inquiry → Negotiating → Quoted → Booked.

Common questions

Can I send the same inquiry to several vendors at once?

Yes. From your saved list, select up to five vendors and press Send inquiries. Each thread is private - vendors can't see who else you've contacted.

Do I have to pay anything to send an inquiry?

No. Inquiries are free. You only pay when you accept a quote and put down the deposit.
