Pay the deposit
DayOf takes a 50% deposit when you accept a quote, then auto-charges the remaining 50% fourteen days before the event. Both halves go straight to the vendor.
How to do it

Land on the checkout page
Pressing Accept on a quote takes you to /checkout/[booking-id]. You'll see the line items and the deposit total.

Add a card or use Apple/Google Pay
Card details are processed by Stripe - DayOf never sees your full card number.

Press Pay deposit
Charges your card and instantly confirms the booking. The vendor is notified and your event date is locked on their calendar.

Save the receipt
Emailed to you within a minute. Also viewable any time on /dashboard/bookings.
What to expect
The deposit is non-refundable - see the Pricing page for the full cancellation schedule. You'll get an automatic reminder email two weeks before the final 50% is charged, with one click to update the card if needed.
Common questions
What if my card fails on the final charge?
We retry over the next 24 hours and email you. If it still fails, the vendor can reach out directly through the thread to sort it.
Can I split the deposit across two cards?
Not at the moment. You can update the card on file before the final charge runs, though.
